Piacere! This is Brooke and Valerio Porcelli. Born and raised in Rome, Valerio ran an organic farm with a farm-to-table restaurant near Viterbo and has been a private chef throughout Italy and the USA. Fortunately for us, he is our designated chef for the villa stay. Brooke was born in LA but lived in Italy for several years. She curates the subtle luxuries that Americans adore while travelling abroad. Together they have created Living La Dolce Vita Italy where guests can experience an authentic local take on food, wine and culture.
Our goal is to preserve and support the Italy that we know (meaning the locals) and to share those experiences with our guests. We keep it real. We work with the people who bring their talents and their expertise to the table, and like them, we give our hearts to our work. We support farmers, artists and small business owners - just like
Our goal is to preserve and support the Italy that we know (meaning the locals) and to share those experiences with our guests. We keep it real. We work with the people who bring their talents and their expertise to the table, and like them, we give our hearts to our work. We support farmers, artists and small business owners - just like us. We do more than just "See Tuscany, Umbria and Rome like you have never seen them before" - we LIVE it, we bring our guests to become part of the culture and get access to people and places that even money can't buy. We give that authentic experience. Through the eyes of an Italian chef and his family discover some of Italy's best kept secrets in cuisine and culture.
Brooke leads the movement and stretching classes and varies them according to the needs of the clients that day. She has over 20 years experience working in physical therapy and movement. Classes offered are 30-45 minutes on a mat on the grass at the villa. Classes are optional and modified accordingly.
Brooke along with our local Romans - Valerio and Armando will be with you in in every experience. Together we will discover the best local farms, vineyards and villages and people whom we have grown to love over the years. Experiencing these regions of Italy with locals is the only way to really know them, discover their secrets and benefit from the connections we have made.
We have guests arriving from all over the world so it is impossible to do one group pick up at FCO (Rome's Leonardo Da Vinci airport) Instead, we will help arrange a private driver for each person/group which is a separate fee that you can pay on your own. The driver will take you to the convent hotel in Trastevere, Rome. We can help arrange everything once we know your arrival time.
